![]() SoundMeter Pro 3 employs a new plotting framework for real-time data graphs and high resolution image export. The Octave tool calculates the noise criterion (NC) and speech interference level (SIL) as defined in ANSI S12.2-2008, as well as the noise rating (NR) level. ![]() The Octave tool now calculates Lp, Leq, and Lx values, regardless of which is currently being displayed. ![]() SoundMeter Pro 3 also features the following improvements: It is possible to select the individual channels from which to load data when multiple channels of data exist within a single file. Also of note is the ability to overlay 1/3-octave data on a whole-octave bar graph and vice versa. Up to six sound spectrum curves can be overlaid on the live bar graph. Speech interference level (SIL) is also calculated.Īs in the recent update to SignalScope Pro, SoundMeter Pro’s Octave analyzer tool now offers the option to load whole or 1/3-octave spectrum data from exported Octave data files. When NC or NR references curves are visible, SoundMeter Pro also calculates the NC or NR value, respectively. An accelerometer can also be assigned to an axis to allow movements of the device to control MIDI messages.SoundMeter Pro 3 now offers the option to overlay noise criteria (NC), room noise criteria (RNC), or noise rating (NR) references curves over the live Octave analyzer bar graph. The x and y axes can also be swapped around at the touch of a button. The axis can easily be inverted to switch orientation from minimum-maximum to maximum-minimum. The user can choose between continuous controller and pitch bend messages, and can select the range of the x and y parameters. Pro XY is a customizable x-y MIDI controller that allows the user to control two parameters simultaneously using an x-y interface. The developer reports virtually no latency for the pads. Copy and paste settings, a pad latch/hold mode, and hide control options are also available. Three default layouts for drums, bass, and keys are pre-defined for the application and three scenes of pad layouts can be used. The pads are multi-touch, supporting up to five fingers at once. Each pad can be named and assigned note or pad numbers. Any note or continuous controller message can be assigned to any pad and the velocity of the pads can be controlled by tilting the device. ProPads is a customizable virtual MIDI pad surface for which the user can determine the configuration of the pads to display any number of pads up to 8 × 8. ProPads and Pro XY are included with the ProRemote. It is currently compatibly with Mac OS X only. It is an eight-channel version of the full edition with a cross fader for use with software such as Ableton Live. The ProRemote Light Edition (LE) is a version of the application designed for use with iPhone and iPod Touch devices. Interested readers are advised to consult the developer Web site for up-to-date compatibility information. Host applications that support HUI or Mackie Control surfaces are compatible. The Windows version of the server is at the beta level and currently does not support ProTools for Windows. Apple Logic, Ableton Live, and Soundtrack Pro are also officially supported. ![]() This application is compatible with all versions of ProTools on Mac OS X. ProRemoteServer must be downloaded from the developer Web site for operation of the ProRemote software. Far Out Labs' ProRemote control surface for iPad. ![]()
